GDT Section E

North Saskatchewan River Crossing to Jasper. High alpine and remote terrain through White Goat and Jasper, including the Brazeau, Maligne and Skyline corridors.

Build Section E around three reservation bottlenecks: the Jasper/Brazeau corridor, the one-site-per-night Maligne Pass campgrounds, and the extremely popular Skyline Trail. Keep highway exits in the plan because the southern half is remote and conditions can change quickly. Section E mixes public-land and White Goat random camping with tightly controlled Jasper National Park campgrounds. Random camping is only allowed from Owen Pass toward Cataract Pass outside the national parks, subject to current rules and the Alberta Public Lands Camping Pass where applicable.
